Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Teach a variety of mathematical topics including Geometry, Discrete Math, and other advanced subjects.
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a productive classroom environment.
- Provide individualized support through tutoring sessions to assist students who may need extra help.
- Mentor students in their academic pursuits, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and instructional strategies.
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback.
- Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that respects diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field; higher education teaching experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts including Geometry and Discrete Math.
- Experience with behavior management techniques and classroom dynamics.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus.
- Ability to develop curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A commitment to fostering student growth and academic success through mentoring and tutoring.
- Experience in teaching related subjects such as Cell Biology or Organic Chemistry is advantageous but not required.
