Job Summary : The Lead Building Material Estimator will prepare material take-offs for single-family and multi-family projects. The Lead Building Material Estimator reports directly to the Director of Building Materials.
Responsibilities :
- Create material take-offs for framing lumber, sheathing, hardware, weather-resistive barriers, and siding.
- Understand architectural and engineering blueprints, specifications, UL assemblies, and scope requirements.
- Work with procurement team to perform cost analysis, material selection, and create project material budgets.
- Maintain bidding and job costing data files.
- Communicate with designers, field staff, and customers.
- Track and release material for job-site deliveries.
