Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role you will answer all telephone calls from patients through the Customer Service Call Center and ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining a positive company image. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for helping others.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answers telephone calls from patients on a daily basis.
- Tracks all incoming calls through Account Workqueue
- Tracks all telephone calls answered and reports on the resolution
- Report any patient complaints that require supervisor review and document in patient account
- Report any payment or coding issue to the supervisor workqueue and document in patient account
- Tracks complaint patterns, system issues and problems and report directly to Supervisor
- Obtains credit card payments verifying the transactions and documenting in the patients account
- Post payment and/or adjustments, as necessary.
- Researches patient payments, requesting EOB’s when necessary
- Edits all payments and adjustments when corrections are required
- Update any demographic and/or insurance information into the computer system.
- E-Verify any new insurance and update effective dates
- Review in Healthenet or Passport for any insurance corrections
- Corrects all returned mail
- Follow-up with patient calls with resolution of patient issues
- Attends reimbursement an/or customer service seminars, as necessary.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED with emphasis on business courses. Minimum of 3 years experience in medical claims processing, data entry, customer service and billing required; 5 years preferred. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
