What are the responsibilities and job description for the NP or PA for Primary Care/Family Medicine Office Practice position at Buffalo Medical Group?
Buffalo Medical Group is seeking full-time APP for busy outpatient office in Orchard Park.
Primary Care/Family Medicine practice. Will not see pediatrics.
Monday - Friday, days.
No weekends, major holidays, or hospital coverage.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients. Reviews patient records.
- Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed.
- Performs a complete physical exam and records findings. Establishes presumptive diagnosis.
- Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
- Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention.
- Administers injections, immunizations and oral medications. Sutures wounds. Prepares written prescription orders for drugs and controlled substances.
- Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention. Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
- Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provides patient education.
- Assists physicians by recording patient progress notes, issues diagnostic orders and transcribes orders.
- Triages patient telephone calls and provides consultation.
- Performs independent evaluations and treatment procedures in emergency situations.
- Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.
- Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
- Complies with BMG Corporate Compliance Policy and HIPAA regulations.
- Will participate in worksite safety training programs.
- Will comply with all Group policies and procedures, including mandatory annual in-services
- Other tasks as assigned/required.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING: Graduation from an accredited Physician’s Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. Valid certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician’s Assistants or Nurse Practitioners.

Pay: $90,446.40 - $135,669.60 per year
