We’re Looking for a Solar Project Foreman to Expand our Field Team!
At Buffalo Solar, we are experiencing exciting growth and are looking for a Solar Foreman to join our expanding team. This is a year-round, travel position, where you will lead both electrical and mechanical teams on solar installation projects. With opportunities for advancement, this role offers the chance to grow with us as we continue to expand in the solar industry.
Essential Job Duties
- Interact with clients or property owners to address any questions or concerns they may have during the installation process.
- Lead and supervise a team of mechanical and electrical subcontractors
- Monitor work performance to ensure that all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and according to project specifications meeting NYSERDA and NEC quality standards and specifications.
- Ensure that all workers on-site follow safety protocols and use the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Conduct regular safety briefings and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Enforce safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA and other local regulations.
- Guide electricians on-site, providing leadership and troubleshooting expertise to resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.
- Address any issues that arise during installation, such as equipment malfunctions, installation errors, or delays in material delivery.
- Make adjustments to the work plan if necessary to keep the project moving forward and on schedule
- Maintain daily logs of the work being performed, including work completed, safety inspections, and any incidents or challenges that occur on-site.
- Coordinate the logistics of shipping, storage, and delivery of materials to ensure timely arrival at the project site.
- Ensure that equipment is stored safely and that any necessary repairs or replacements are promptly addressed.

Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
