We’re Looking for a Procurement Specialist-Electrical to Build the Foundation of Our Procurement Team!
As Buffalo Solar’s first-ever Procurement Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our procurement strategy from the ground up. You’ll be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials that meet both cost efficiency and quality standards, all while ensuring timely delivery to keep our solar projects on schedule. Collaboration is key in this role—you’ll work closely with our project management, engineering, and installation teams to make sure everything runs smoothly. This is a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact and build a strong foundation.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform electrical take offs to support accurate material orders - Create and Submit RFQs by product category and project portfolio
- Obtain specifications/product data for submittals
- Submit, manage and reconcile outstanding submittals
- Prepare and issue purchase orders.
- Analyze/update and distribute drawing revisions at each drawing set- development stage
- Update electrical logs based on PO issuance
- Coordinate Inventory movement from warehouse to jobsites when necessary
- Ability to accurately process material requisitions in a fast-paced environment
- Meet with Construction Teams, and Engineers, daily to review Project status and delivery needs.
- High attention to detail and strong ability to follow through
- Eager to take on new tasks and learn
- Perform other related duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Associates Degree, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience - Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Procurement
- Experience in solar industry preferred
- Fluent in MS Office products
- Familiarity with ERPs -Database maintenance
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Familiar with construction and solar industry as well as understanding of project requirements
- Able to establish and maintain good relations with internal customers and suppliers
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced project dynamic
- High attention to detail and strong ability to follow through

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
