The Installation and Repair Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining wireless and fiber internet equipment for residential and commercial customers.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install and configure wireless and fiber internet equipment for residential and commercial customers.
- Troubleshoot and repair wireless and fiber internet equipment and connectivity issues.
- Conduct site surveys to determine the best location for wireless and fiber internet equipment installation.
- Maintain accurate records of installation/repair work and inventory.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support.
- Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Installation and Repair Supervisor.
- Signal testing equipment prior to installation
- Installing subscriber modules on customer’s homes
- Keeping track of equipment inventory
- Proper care and maintenance of company provided equipment and vehicles.
- Actively participate in company sales program
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Wireless Internet Installation and Repair Supervisor.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Working and driving in various environments, including inclement weather.
- Using ladders, lifts, or climbing TV antennas, towers, and silos.
- Walking and working on rooftops.
- Ability to lift occasionally 50 lbs.
- Clean driving record
