Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Immigration Paralegal to join our team onsite in Hollywood, Florida. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), highly organized, and well-versed in employment and investment-based immigration law. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently, and a strong understanding of immigration procedures and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with clients in person, by phone, and via email to gather documents and provide case updates.
- Explain timelines, manage client expectations, and ensure a seamless application process.
- Prepare and file work visa applications, including EB-1A, EB-2 NIW, EB-5, H-1B, L-1, O-1, P, E-1, E-2, consular processing, labor certifications, I-140s, and I-485s.
- Review and analyze client documents, employment records, and supporting materials for compliance with immigration regulations.
- Maintain client files, track deadlines, and ensure timely submission of all required documents.
- Liaise with USCIS, consulates, and other legal professionals to facilitate case progress.
- Assist with translations of legal documents, ensuring accuracy in both English and Spanish.
- Stay informed of updates in immigration law and policies, particularly those impacting business immigration.
- Perform administrative and case management tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certification (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in immigration law, with a strong focus on employment and investment-based visas.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
- Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, policies, and procedures related to work visas.
- Experience using MyCase or similar case management software.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in case management software (MyCase or similar), Microsoft Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with USCIS processes and website navigation.
