Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Production and Shipping Supervisor to oversee the production and shipping operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production and logistics operations, with basic mechanical knowledge and experience working in a factory or assembly line environment. This role is crucial in ensuring that products are produced and shipped efficiently and accurately while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production and shipping operations, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of products.
- Monitor the preparation, packaging, and labeling of shipments in compliance with customer requirements and regulations.
- Monitor production processes, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to maintain efficient workflow.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and forklifts as necessary.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular audits and managing stock levels.
- Train and mentor production and shipping staff on best practices for safety, efficiency, and quality control.
- Manages departmental performance, measures and provides regular progress reports to site manager.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years previous experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with operating hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely and effectively.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead a team and coordinate with other departments.
- Must be able to pass a forklift certification test.
