We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Junior Interior Designer to join our close-knit, family-oriented team, where you’ll gain hands-on experience working with hundreds of builder and designer clients while exploring materials from 20 leading factories from around the world.

This entry-level role offers a unique opportunity to develop both design and marketing skills by assisting on a variety of interior design projects while also contributing to our brand’s content strategy. You’ll work alongside an experienced Senior Designer, gaining exposure to real-world design challenges and learning how to curate, specify, and present materials in a way that aligns with client needs.

Additionally, you will play a key role in creating content for social media, including shooting photos and videos, visiting job sites, and developing content to showcase our products, projects, and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Client Collaboration:

  • Assist the Sr. Designer/Design Team Lead with interior design projects, including material selection, specification fulfillment, research and design presentations.
  • Work with hundreds of builders and designers to help bring their visions to life using our premium materials.
  • Attend client meetings lead by Sr. Designer and assist with design recommendations based on project needs.
  • Eventually, take on Lead Designer responsibilities for smaller projects or clients, working with some oversight as skills and experience develop.
  • Maintain and update showroom displays to ensure a visually appealing and functional space for visitors.

Social Media & Content Creation:

  • Capture high-quality photos and videos of materials, projects, and job sites.
  • Assist with the creation of engaging Instagram reels, stories, and other social media content to highlight design trends, product applications, and client success stories.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop marketing strategies that blend interior design with engaging storytelling.

Research & Sales Support:

  • Conduct design research and help source finishes and materials for client projects.
  • Assist in curating showroom offerings by staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Provide design-driven sales support, helping clients select materials that align with their vision.
  • Attend networking events hosted at Builder Supply Group to connect with industry professionals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design (or equivalent experience and certifications).

· Creative mindset with a passion for design, photography and content creation.

· Strong organizational and communication skills.

· Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) and a keen eye for aesthetics.

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

· Portfolio showcasing design work or creative projects is required.

· Comfortable visiting job sites to capture content and gain real-world project exposure.
