We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sales Associate and Key Carrier to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in our Door Department and be responsible for various tasks related to in-stock kitchen cabinets and countertops, bath vanities and faucets, flooring, and tile. **Responsibilities:**
- Serve as a key carrier, assisting in opening and closing the store and ensuring smooth daily operations
- Conduct cycle counts and manage inventory effectively
- Order merchandise and assist the store manager with various tasks
- Stock merchandise and ensure displays are well-maintained
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and purchases
- Demonstrate product knowledge in doors, windows, kitchen, and bath products
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in carpentry or a related field
- Proficiency in special order and installed sales services
- Knowledge of millwork techniques and processes
- Experience with point of sale computer programs
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Forklift certification is a plus
