Job Summary:
Building Blocks Learning Center is seeking a passionate, patient, and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our team. This individual will work closely with toddlers, supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development in a nurturing and engaging environment. The ideal candidate is dedicated to early childhood education, brings positivity to their teaching, and understands the importance of creating a safe, structured, and fun learning atmosphere for young children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that stimulate toddlers’ curiosity, creativity, and development through play-based learning.
- Foster a safe and nurturing environment that promotes learning and encourages social, emotional, and physical development.
- Monitor and assess toddlers’ progress, providing individual attention to ensure each child’s needs are met.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, providing updates on the child’s development, behavior, and milestones.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization, ensuring a hygienic and stimulating environment for learning.
- Collaborate with other staff members, sharing ideas and participating in team activities that enhance the overall learning experience.
- Guide toddlers in daily activities, such as meals, naps, and potty training, fostering independence and self-help skills.
- Implement positive behavior management techniques, supporting children’s emotional regulation and social skills development.
- Adhere to state licensing requirements and center policies to maintain a high standard of safety and quality in the classroom.
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with toddlers in a child care or early education setting is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- A genuine love for teaching and nurturing young children.
- Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain a calm and organized classroom.
- Knowledge of child development and best practices in early childhood education.
Certifications:
- CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Clear background check and necessary state clearances.
