Position Overview
BTF is seeking a National Engagement Manager – Veteran Partnerships to lead efforts in engaging and supporting Veterans as they pursue careers in the skilled trades and related industries. This role will focus on developing strategic partnerships, promoting workforce initiatives, and ensuring that Veterans have access to high-quality job opportunities.
The ideal candidate is a Veteran or someone with a strong understanding of the Veteran community, has experience in workforce development or talent acquisition, and is passionate about helping Veterans build meaningful careers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Manage Partnerships:
- Establish and maintain relationships with Veteran service organizations, employers, workforce agencies, and educational institutions.
- Collaborate with industry leaders to create pathways for Veterans into the skilled trades.
Veteran Engagement & Outreach:
- Promote BTF’s mission to the Veteran community, ensuring awareness of career opportunities.
- Represent BTF at Veteran hiring events, conferences, and networking forums.
- Develop strategies to enhance Veteran participation in BTF programs.
Program Development & Execution:
- Work with employers to identify and promote job openings suitable for Veterans.
- Support the design and implementation of Veteran-focused career development initiatives.
- Track and measure the impact of Veteran engagement efforts.
Advocacy & Industry Leadership:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Veteran employment in the skilled trades sector.
- Advocate for policies and initiatives that support Veterans in the workforce.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align Veteran engagement efforts with broader BTF initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Military Veteran preferred or strong experience working with the Veteran community.
- 5 years of experience in workforce development, recruitment, talent acquisition, or a related field.
- Proven ability to develop and manage strategic partnerships.
- Strong communication, public speaking, and networking skills.
- Passion for workforce development and supporting Veterans in their career journeys.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a national team.
- Willingness to travel as needed for events, meetings, and engagements.
