Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming CNC machines and will be responsible for creating precise and efficient machining programs. This role requires a deep understanding of CAD/CAM software, lean manufacturing principles, and the ability to interpret technical drawings. The CNC Programmer will work closely with engineers and machinists to ensure that production meets quality standards and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for various machining operations.
- Utilize CAM programming software to create machining instructions based on engineering specifications.
- Interpret and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles in program development.
- Collaborate with design teams using AutoCAD Inventor
- Conduct regular inspections using micrometers to verify part dimensions.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the production process.
- Troubleshoot programming issues and provide solutions to enhance machine performance.
- Maintain documentation of program revisions, tooling changes, and production processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in CNC programming with a strong understanding of machining processes.
- Proficiency in CAM programming software; experience with CNC controls is preferred.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor standards.
- Strong mathematical skills, particularly in geometry, for precise calculations and measurements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
