Job description
Responsible for programmatically writing automation tools and reports to improve productivity and efficiency in bank processes. This includes the ability to take raw information from data queries and translating that information to a target audience in a form that is clear and easy to understand.
Essential Functions:
Report Writing:
· Gather requirements for data needs from various internal product team members.
· Translate these requirements into fully automated and robust reports using tools such as Cognos, SQL, Python, or other relevant technologies.
· Create complex queries to extract and aggregate desired information from diverse potential data sources.
· Develop BI reports and dashboards that offer insights into and enhance organizational performance.
· Maintain and update existing reports, ensuring they are based on accurate and current data sources.
· Demonstrate an understanding of data modeling concepts.
Automation Development:
· Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions to challenges.
· Interpret, maintain, and develop workflow diagrams for automated processes.
· Design and write workflows using JHA EWF, Python, and RPA tools like UiPath, aimed at interfacing with current systems to automate manual tasks, thereby increasing production and efficiency, and enhancing customer experience.
· Facilitate regular meetings with colleagues involved in current workflow and RPA projects to ensure timely and accurate completion of automation tasks.
· Keep a current and detailed record of all automation initiatives, including those in progress, completed, and yet to start, ensuring transparency and easy accessibility of the status of all automation projects.
· Perform regular workflow audits to identify and address any regulatory or audit issues.
· Analyze data ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and address any data inconsistencies.

· Maintain the integrity and security of sensitive customer data through careful adherence to stringent data security practices in a financial environment.
· Sustain an acceptable level of expertise within the areas of assigned responsibility; participate in scheduled training and seek continuous self-education through available resources.
· Maintain a working understanding of, and comply with, applicable banking regulations, operating procedures, and security guidelines.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Demonstrate an understanding of data modeling concepts.
Educational Background:
· College coursework in Computer Science or Information Technology Admin required
· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Technical Expertise:
· Strong understanding of database management systems and proficiency in SQL.
· Experience with low/no code workflow automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate).
· Proficiency in creating SOAP and REST API requests.
· Experience with scripting languages (Python, Visual Basic).
· Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
· Knowledge of data modeling concepts.
Specific Product Knowledge (Advantageous):
· Experience with Jack Henry Enterprise Workflow
· Experience with IBM Cognos
· Experience with Windows Server and Microsoft SQL Server
Industry Knowledge (Advantageous):
· Understanding of regulatory requirements and data governance in the banking sector is desirable.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
