What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Project Manager - Construction position at Bulk Storage?
Plans, directs, manages and provides oversight of assigned project. Oversees all phases of the building process, making sure the project is completed on time and within scope and budget. Manage projects from the beginning to the end.
Essential Functions:
- Own and manage entire project; can lead an entire project team to achieve desired outcome.
- Display superior knowledge regarding contracts and agreements.
- Approve invoices, update beginning of project and closeout documents
- Ensure projects are delivered with a level of quality that meets/exceeds requirements.
- Develop strategies to mitigate cost overruns and maximize project profitability.
- Manage monthly change order process
- Proactively monitor project material and equipment submittal/approval/fabrication/delivery status for the project to mitigate the impact on quality, schedule, and cost.
- Assemble accurate budget pricing utilizing estimating applications and technical resources.
- Create a sense of confidence and trust with the client through open and ongoing communication.
- Build and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
- Effectively negotiate change order settlements with clients that maximize profitability and without damaging relationships.
- Utilize project-level relationships to proactively identify and create new project opportunities for the company.
- Ensure compliance with required federal, state, local, industry, contractual, quality, safety, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and skills:
- Construction Project Filing/Document Management experience
- Experience Maintaining logs
- Experience Managing RFIs ,AIAs, and Closeouts
- Finance/Invoicing experience, preferred
- Possesses knowledge of the building trades
- Knowledge of construction quality, health, and safety standards
Technical Required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.15 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekends as needed
