Position Summary:
The Technical Consultant is responsible for designing and implementing product and service solutions that meet the needs of our clients. They work closely with our clients to understand their business requirements and provide technical guidance and expertise to develop enterprise solutions that meet their needs. This position is also responsible for ensuring friendly and professional IT service delivery to all Bulletproof clients, as well as providing escalation support and directly assisting customers with more complex issues.
The Technical Consultant will be responsible for troubleshooting major incidents in Bulletproof clients’ network/server/virtual client environments, including occasional urgent after-hours response to client incidents.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Bulletproof sales team and Director of Operations with pre-sales questions and accompany them to meetings as a technical resource to drive sales Upsell from a technical viewpoint.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of Bulletproof’s enterprise products and services, with specialized focus on Managed IT services.
  • Work with clients to gather requirements and understand their business needs.
  • Design and develop solutions that meet client requirements and industry best practices.
  • Create technical specifications, design documents, and other technical artifacts to support the solution/service design process.
  • Conduct Pre-Sales on-site visits to selected customers.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Bulletproof’s products and services.
  • Obtain and maintain certifications from various vendors as required for professional improvement as well as vendor partnerships.
  • Maintains records, time entry in billing & operational systems, logs and reports of clients’ assistance and troubleshooting requests.
  • Provides hands-on training, training materials and documentation for client equipment to employees when necessary.
  • Works with leadership in other Knowledge Practices and departments to build a strong understanding of business needs to identify and implement changes, modifications, or new systems and business applications.
  • Improves technical processes and evaluates interrelationships between systems, identifying how changes may affect a variety of systems within Bulletproof/client infrastructures.
  • Provides operational support of infrastructure assets including email systems, backup systems, Active Directory/user management, and new user PC/network set-ups, as well as managing Bulletproof’s CSP, Knowledge Base, VoIP, and PSA solutions. This may involve solutions from partners like CISCO, Fortinet, ConnectWise, Barracuda, Kaseya, Microsoft, and VMware.
  • Resolves issues within the network systems and infrastructure software. Must have the ability to assess a situation quickly and help arrive at the most beneficial resolution for all parties involved.
  • Maintains confidentiality about any information being processed, stored, or accessed, as required.
  • Responsible for upholding network and IT environment security measures set by client/Bulletproof policies.
  • Maintains knowledge of remote access products.
  • Responsible for attaining and maintaining strong technical knowledge of systems used and provided by Bulletproof (Microsoft 365/Azure, Windows, MacOS, Android & iOS).
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Required Education/Credentials/Qualifications:
  • Current Microsoft certifications including MS-500, Azure Fundamentals, MS-365 Fundamentals
  • Background knowledge in IT security including concepts of security governance.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO-27001, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, would be an asset.
  • 3 years hardware/software technical sales experience; experience with managed IT services considered an asset.
  • 3 years’ experience working within the channel structure for vendors, distributors and resellers.
  • 3 years of highly technical experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems and supporting Windows software.
  • 3 years’ experience using, administering, architecting Cloud technologies – specifically Microsoft Azure, Office 365/Microsoft 365, and the Microsoft Defender Suite.
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and Azure Dev Ops.
  • 3 years’ experience with sizing, architecting and deploying infrastructure solutions including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, network security, wireless and network switching platforms.
  • 3 years’ experience with designing Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery solutions
  • Experience with sizing and architecting solutions involving Microsoft, HPE, Dell, Cisco, and Fortinet equipment would be an asset.
  • Project management experience would be considered an asset.
