Applicants should meet all of the following:

• Have one of the following: a ChildDevelopment Credential (CDA) or an associate’s degree in Child Development
• Be able to successfully pass a Comprehensive background check
• Have certification in CPR, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens
• Have results from a Tuberculosis test within 1 year and documentation of a complete physical
• Be available to work between the hours of 6am and 6:30 pm, with reliable transportation
• Have an awareness of the needs unique to preschool students
• Be physically able to kneel, squat, lift, bend, and get up from the floor quickly while working with children of various weights
• Have a desire to work with young children and people who are passionate about developing strong ties with the children and their families in our care

Expectations of Position

• Have a professional demeanor and appearance at all times for center functions (working hours, after hour events, speaking about the center in public)
• Provide high quality customer service to the parents of the children in the entire center
• Stand out as a positive, moral, caring role model for all teaching staff in your room
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the children in your care using developmentally appropriate, best practices in responding to social, emotional, and physical needs
