We’re seeking a Social Media Content Editor to research and create compelling content for CoinDesk’s social media accounts. You will work with a team of talented journalists, creatives, content creators, media experts, and data analysts to develop and execute engaging social content strategies that captivate both crypto enthusiasts and newcomers alike by crafting powerful narratives that resonate across our global crypto community in the millions. 

We’re looking for a social content strategist who excels at blending research and creativity with copy and image, helping to define a unique voice that shines across our social channels. Your ability to craft relatable content about crypto, web3, blockchain, and decentralized systems (AI, DePIN, etc.) will help bridge the gap between crypto topics and mainstream audiences.

As a social-first storyteller, you will understand the vital role CoinDesk plays as the most trusted source for media, events, indices, and data within the global crypto landscape. We are searching for passionate, intrinsically motivated, and hardworking team players who are eager to contribute to our fast-growing company and share our vision for the future of money and the emerging crypto economy.

This role is required to work onsite from our NYC HQ a minimum of 3 days per week. Required days may shift to more/less based on business needs and is at the discretion of the hiring manager.

What You’ll Do: 

• Will be the social voice of CoinDesk, helping to connect with varied audiences in ways that build connection and brand value.

• Create and implement engaging content plans across all CoinDesk social channels.

• Create, curate, and produce high-quality, shareable content (text, visuals, video) that educates, inspires, and connects. 

• Partner with marketing & creative teams to adapt social content so voice, tone and visual approach adheres to brand guidelines across all social platforms.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including editorial, design, events, multimedia and analytics, to shape and execute a cohesive social strategy

• Monitor, analyze, and report on performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and continuously refining strategies to optimize results.

• Manage relationships with social media and PR agencies to ensure consistent brand tone and voice across all communication channels.

• Uphold the brand’s voice and style as a key steward, ensuring consistency and quality in every interaction.

• Craft engaging narratives and present social content in a way that captivates audiences and drives meaningful action.

What You Have:

• 5 years of social media content strategy experience in a dynamic, high-growth environment, with a strong preference for experience in the crypto industry.

• Deep understanding of the crypto and blockchain landscape, including current trends, with the ability to communicate effectively to both expert and novice audiences. Knowledge of financial services and index businesses is a plus.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and strong editing and proofreading capabilities.

• Ability to digest complex concepts into short, engaging content.

• Collaborative team player with a positive, proactive attitude.

• Committed to staying current with industry trends, using insights to inform and enhance social content strategies tailored to audience needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is preferred, though not mandatory.

Bullish US LLC and CoinDesk Inc are committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $150,000 discretionary annual target bonus performance incentives/benefits. Offered salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and commensurate experience.
