Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and behavior to ensure compliance with facility regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to maintain safety and security.
- Write detailed reports on incidents, inmate behavior, and daily activities.
- Operate and monitor CCTV systems to oversee facility operations.
- Respond promptly to emergencies or disturbances, utilizing conflict management techniques.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a respectful environment for inmates.
- Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all individuals within the facility.
- Collaborate with law enforcement personnel as needed during incidents or investigations.
Skills
- Proficient in report writing to document incidents accurately and effectively.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems for monitoring purposes.
- Ability to apply militarized approaches to maintain discipline and order within the facility.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred or required.
- Background in law enforcement is advantageous for understanding legal procedures and protocols.
- Strong conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with inmates, staff, and visitors professionally.
