Position Overview: Material Handler

Position Summary:
The Material Handler works with the warehouse team to select products and prepare it for shipment or delivery, manages inventory and receives raw materials, and operates equipment such as a forklift, pallet jack, and crane.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Receives raw material deliveries and updates inventory counts accordingly.
• Utilizes software applications such as Fishbowl and Microsoft Teams to aid in work tasks, collaboration, and communication.
• Operates mid-sized and heavy equipment such as a forklift, pallet jack, crane, and maintains the appropriate safety certifications necessary for proper usage.
• Exercises lean manufacturing principles as it relates to process flow, organization, and communication.
• Selects and delivers raw material and components to the manufacturing division for assembly. Selects completed goods and prepares for shipment or delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
• Basic comfort with MS Office products including Word, and Teams, and ability to learn industry and department software applications as it relates to inventory and order fulfillment.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. repetitively.
• Demonstrated experience working autonomously with the discipline necessary to be a self-starter and equally skilled working in a team setting while taking direction from others.
