Writing Tutor Needed for Humanities Department
We are seeking an accomplished writing tutor to provide embedded support within our humanities department. As a valuable member of our academic team, you will empower students to enhance their writing skills and build confidence in their academic abilities.
About the Role
This part-time non-benefited position requires tutors to participate in at least one class session per week and engage in individual meetings with students outside of class for three additional hours each week. Applicants must have completed ENG 115-Writing Tutor Seminar with a grade of B or higher and demonstrate experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer one-on-one writing support to students across the humanities curriculum
- Collaborate with instructors to develop effective writing strategies
- Meet with students to provide feedback and guidance on their writing projects
Requirements and Qualifications
- Successful completion of ENG 115-Writing Tutor Seminar with a grade of B or higher
- Proven ability to work effectively with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
