Duties

• Assist in meal preparation and food preparation tasks under the guidance of the head chef or kitchen manager.
• Ensure all food safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Help with catering services as needed, contributing to special events and functions.
• Utilize kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other food preparation tools.
• Collaborate with team members in the dietary department to meet specific dietary needs and preferences.
• Support the overall operations of the kitchen by performing various tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is essential; training may be provided for those new to the field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with catering services or as a dietary aide is a plus.
