What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pricing Manager position at Bunzl?
The Pricing Manager will work with internal teams and business data to ensure products remain competitive and that all pricing updates are made in a timely manner. Identify and monitor competitors and adapt pricing strategies to reflect changes in the market. Conduct financial modeling and analysis to determine prices for products. Create new pricing models that will directly enhance our ability to price appropriately. Duties include providing analytical breakdowns of pricing structures and identify strategies used in pricing models of the same. Leads pricing meetings with recommend pricing changes, strategies and implementation timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Manage total pricing procedure, enhance processes to make most of efficiencies and ensure timely response and implementation to market conditions.
- Lead and direct pricing strategy formulation and take necessary pricing actions to enhance profitability, ensuring integrity and accuracy in all pricing matters.
- Lead pricing meetings with leadership and sales teams to define pricing structure for products and services
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure integrated profit maximizing approach to market
- Maintain and regularly update pricing in system meeting pricing effective deadlines
- Proactively identify new strategic actions to enhance pricing effectiveness
- Conduct research and cost revisions, reviewing current market pricing for comparable products and services to remain competitive.
- Perform financial evaluation to assess pricing action effectiveness.
- Monitor daily/weekly/monthly reports, focusing on low margins and costing errors.
- Define business procedures and implementation/maintenance of pricing.
- Address issues and concerns raised by team members relating to pricing suggestions
- Effectively communicate price strategies and changes to relevant departments of the organization
- Track Market trends
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 years’ experience in pricing or relevant business experience is required.
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Understanding the impact of pricing on profit margins
- Good negotiations and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective reporting and presentation skills
- Enthusiastic and proactive team player
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills a must
- Must be detail oriented, strong organizational and communication skills
- Motivated self-starter with the interpersonal skills required to work with others in a collaborative environment
- Project coordination capabilities
- Comfortable learning new systems; quick learner
- AS400 experience preferred
Salary Range: $80 - $95K with up to a 15% Bonus Opportunity
