MCR Safety, a Bunzl company, is hiring for a Screen Printer. The Screen Printer will operate silkscreen equipment to create high-quality, printed materials according to client specifications. This role requires attention to detail, understanding of printing techniques, and experience in handling various substrates. You will work closely with our production team to ensure all projects meet quality standards and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and clean screens, apply emulsion, and expose artwork onto screens according to client specifications.
- Mix inks to achieve accurate color matches and maintain consistency throughout the print run.
- Operate screen printing equipment, adjust machine settings, and ensure accurate positioning for high-quality prints.
- Inspect products for color accuracy, clarity, and any defects, making adjustments as needed.
- Clean and maintain screen printing equipment, tools, and workspace to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Monitor ink, screens, and other materials, and coordinate with management to maintain stock levels.
- Identify and resolve issues with equipment, screens, or materials to prevent downtime.
- Work closely with management and production staff to meet project specifications and deadlines.
- Follow company safety guidelines and proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Screen Printer or in a related field.
- Familiarity with various substrates, including textiles, paper, and plastic.
- Strong understanding of screen-printing techniques, including setup, print registration, and drying.
- Ability to mix inks accurately and color match according to specifications.
- Proficient in using screen printing equipment and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially in quality control.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team.

Knowledge of design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) for preparing artwork files.
Experience in other printing techniques is a plus.
Familiarity with automatic and manual printing presses.
