What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Coordinator position at Burch Corporation?
Burch Corporation is looking for a Service Coordinator for our Birmingham, AL office. The Service Coordinator is the interface between the customer and our technicians. The Service Coordinator delivers consistent, exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs, assigning the appropriate technicians and other resources to meet these needs, and following up as needed.
Duties
- Answer incoming office calls
- Create work orders on call board based on customer request
- Dispatch technicians to service customers
- Release of purchase order numbers for parts/materials as needed
- Work collaboratively with technicians to ensure proper paperwork for each work order
- Generate quick quote proposals
- Control and issuance of shop inventory
- Ensure that all customer requests and issues are handled correctly and promptly
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Provide professional internal and external customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ideal candidate should work well under pressure, be self-motivated, organized and dependable
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous dispatching experience a plus
