Main tasks & responsibilities:

Responsible for managing the accounting functions for the BCUS Services Division and other various accounting tasks/projects. Responsible for directly supervising the senior and staff accountants supporting the general ledger activities. Assists with developing internal control policies and procedures, where necessary.

· Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.

· Maintain knowledge of US GAAP including all new pronouncements that may impact the company's accounting and reporting.

· Ensures accounting staff are trained on relevant US GAAP issues and are performing assigned accounting functions.

· Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the BCUS Services Division accounting and reporting including preparation of financial statements and reporting of results for consolidation.

· Ensure general ledger accounts are reconciled on a timely basis per established deadlines.

· Communicate and coordinate with corporate Services Division Controller and ensure all reporting deadlines required by the corporate office are met.

· Assist in the coordination of the annual financial audit, ensuring that information is provided to external auditors in a timely manner and that any audit issues are communicated to the VP Finance and resolved appropriately.

· Assist the VP Finance with reviewing and developing internal control policies and procedures within the accounting department, where necessary.

· Ensure the ongoing development and review of departmental policies and procedures by coordinating revisions with appropriate staff, monitoring progress, and reviewing necessary changes with other members of the management team.

· Participate in the direct leadership of the accounting department by coordinating training activities for staff, assuming an active role in management team meetings and activities and assisting in the decision-making process for departmental issues.

· Perform ongoing review of month end financial close checklist to ensure tasks are appropriately assigned and necessary revisions are made.

· Assist in the delegation of accounting tasks to senior and staff accountants.

· Gain working knowledge of the accounting system.

· Identify and implement process improvements in the ERP system to improve efficiency.

· Provide accurate and timely information to the VP Finance for monthly financial statements and other required financial reports.

· Provide accurate and timely financial reports to Operations management as needed.

· Research US GAAP and tax issues.

· Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data, and enhance the company's value.

· Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports, including financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures.

· Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.

· Assist in the development of the organizational structure and staffing.

· Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

Education/ experience / languages:

Education:

· College degree, in accounting or finance. MBA preferred, Bachelor’s required

· CPA Certification

Experience:

· Five to Seven years of hands- on accounting managerial experience.

Skill Requirements:

· Must be able to communicate with internal and external customers.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and detail oriented.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

· Strong leadership skills including coaching and teaching the accounting team.

· Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet schedules.

· Highly proficient in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

· Experience with MS Dynamics ERP (i.e., NAVISION, Business Central, F&O)

Office/Sedentary Position

The working environment will generally be well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. The employee should expect to be exposed to moderate noise levels such as business office computers and printers, light foot traffic, and telecommunications. Occasional overnight travel by land or air is expected. Travel to client's offices and Project sites may be required, periodically.
