Researches, compiles, consolidates, summarizes, and formats budgetary data from source documents, historical data, projected trends, and salary schedules. Monitors, tracks, and reviews obligations, expenditures, and reimbursables. Identifies actions that are inconsistent with approved budgets plans and / or conditions that are under or over obligation of funds. Prepares a variety of recurring management reports covering the status of funds, trend analyses, obligations, and expenditures. General experience may have included analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gathering pertinent data, and recognizing solutions; planning and organizing work; and communicating effectively orally and in writing. -OR-Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. To qualify at the GS-07 level : One year of Specialized Experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal Service reviewing accounting and other financial documents; assisting with budget formulation; reconciling budgets; monitoring accounts; and operating an automated budget tracking system; - OR- One full year of graduate level education -OR- superior academic achievement (SAA) -OR- a combination of education and experience. The superior academic achievement provision is to be used to determine eligibility for applicable GS-07 level positions of persons who have completed (or expect to complete within 9 months) all the requirements for bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a qualifying grade point average (GPA), class standing, or honors society.
