Position Overview:
As a Budget Analyst at Ritchie Bros., you will play a key role in managing and analyzing our financial data, ensuring we stay within budget while maintaining a strong focus on profitability. You will work closely with multiple departments to gather, assess, and report on budgetary needs and performance, providing valuable insights that support strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and monitor annual budgets for various departments and divisions.
Conduct detailed analysis of budget variances and assist in identifying corrective actions.
Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and projections.
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual budget reports to senior management.
Collaborate with department heads to ensure that budgets align with operational goals and objectives.
Analyze historical financial data and trends to guide future budget planning.
Develop and implement efficient budgeting and forecasting processes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date budget records and financial documentation.
Assist with internal and external audits as needed.
Provide support for special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in budgeting, finance, or accounting.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in a corporate or large organization is preferred.
