Bureau Veritas is looking for a dedicated Residential / Combination Building Inspector to join our dynamic team in Washington, DC. What You'll Do :

  • Inspect with Integrity : Conduct thorough inspections of residential buildings, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, to ensure they comply with all relevant codes and standards.
  • Review and Recommend : Evaluate construction plans and specifications to confirm they meet safety and regulatory requirements, providing clear, actionable feedback to builders, contractors, and property owners.
  • Collaborate and Support : Work closely with other departments and stakeholders to resolve code issues and offer expert advice on alternative methods or materials.
  • Document and Report : Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain comprehensive documentation to support compliance and safety.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Experienced Professional : At least 3 years of specialized experience as a building inspector, with a focus on residential structures.
  • Certified Expert : ICC Residential Combination Inspector (RCI) OR Residential Building Inspector certification required.
  • Skilled Technician : Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems is essential.
  • Education : High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Driver's License : A valid driver’s license is necessary for this role.
