- Work closely with a team of planners helping clients deliver comprehensive/master plans, long-range plans, corridor and project level studies, active transportation plans, area plans, safety plans, etc. This will involve data collection and analysis, developing maps and graphics, and contributing to the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials that will communicate planning processes and results to clients and the general public
- Opportunity to engage in client relationships and business development efforts with support from our marketing team and office leaders
- Participate in delivering professional services related to all aspects of transportation planning to a wide variety of clients including state Departments of Transportation (DOTs), Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs), and local governments
- Completion of a 4-year degree in Urban/City/Regional Planning, Geography (urban), Civil Engineering or similar
- 5 years of progressively responsible experience (or 3 progressively responsible experience with a Master’s degree in community planning, transportation planning, or safety planning)
- Certification by American Institute of Certified Planners desirable
- Excellent communication skills and detail oriented; strong conceptual, organizational, problem solving, analytical, and ideation abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; GIS software preferred
- Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
