Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dynamic septic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong plumbing or electrical background and be comfortable working in various environments, including construction sites. This role involves utilizing hand tools, power tools, and possibly heavy equipment to perform maintenance, repairs, and installations. The Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency and safety across our projects. This person must be trainable and will follow Burke Construction guidelines and protocols regarding the work at hand.
Responsibilities
- Assist our experienced, licensed lead technicians in completing daily tasks.
- Maintain and drive their own personal vehicle to various work sites in Rockport and the surrounding area.
- Be willing to acquire an OSSF Apprentice license within 30 days of employment.
- Maintain hand tools and power tools for repairs and installations on-site.
- Rig loads safely and efficiently for transportation or installation purposes.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Strong plumbing or electrical knowledge is preferred, but not required.
- Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with rigging techniques and safety protocols related to load handling is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous work with septic systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team in high-pressure situations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
