What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Lending Systems Analyst position at Burke & Herbert Bank?
Assists the EVP of Mortgage Lending and the Mortgage Loan Production Manager in ensuring the Mortgage Department’s goals and objectives are met through the administration of the Mortgage Department’s Loan Origination System, ancillary systems and their corresponding configurations while also serving as Operational Reporting author and administrator.
Essential Functions

- Serves as the Bank’s primary expert on the functionality and operation of the Bank’s LOS and ancillary systems.
- Provides help desk support, works with LOS vendor to effect problem resolution, consults with end users of LOS and ancillary applications.
- Ensure consistent, efficient, and effective support of Mortgage operational systems and work with vendors to make changes to systems to improve productivity.
- Documents changes in systems using process defined by Information technology department.
- Plays a lead role in the implementation and testing of system changes to support new products and system upgrades to ensure system integrity and data accuracy.
- Assists Mortgage Lending managers and other stakeholders in collecting and analyzing information within ad-hoc reports necessary to address issues / problems, develop appropriate remediation plans, and execute remediation efforts.
- Utilizes report writing software of Mortgage Systems and Power BI to write operational reports as directed by management to assist with the monitoring of the mortgage process.
- Assist with the implementation of new and ongoing update of existing procedures to help ensure the Mortgage department’s conformity to compliance, regulatory, best-practice, and other operational areas.

Work Environment
This job operates in an office setting, the opportunity to telework is not available. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Office environment with job duties conducted via telephone, face to face meetings, and on the computer.
Physical Demands
This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and open cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.
Travel
Limited local travel may be required for this position.
