Art Teacher- Long Term Substitute

Burke Town School is seeking an Art Teacher Long Term Substitute who will teach kindergarten through eighth grade students. The ideal candidate will design and present exciting lessons (painting, drawing, sculpting, computer art, digital media, etc) that actively engage all learners and build an appreciation and exposure to a wide variety of media. Opportunities include involvement with student art displays, contests, and preparing props for school performances. We have a professional community of integrated arts teachers who meet weekly to support common practices and contribute to special projects in the school. Knowledge of Responsive Classroom and/or Developmental Design techniques, and Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports are preferred. Burke Town School School is part of the Kingdom East School District, located in the heart of a vibrant community in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. We operate seven preK-8th grade schools ranging from 60 to 500 students.
