Burlington Electric Department, the City of Burlington’s 100% renewably powered electric utility, is seeking a Accounting Administrator II to join our collaborative, high-performing finance team. This position is responsible for Burlington Electric's day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, corporate credit card reconciliations and payments, cash receipts and payment processing, and work order billing. This position performs bookkeeping, recordkeeping, and reporting functions as well as certain payroll functions on a rotational basis. Our ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in accounting or related field and 3 years of relevant experience. This is an International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union position with potential for some remote work flexibility.
