Experienced Low Voltage Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems including cameras, security systems, access control and computer networking. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and be proficient in various tools and technologies relevant to low voltage applications.

Duties

• Install and maintain low voltage systems such as telecommunication networks, CCTV surveillance, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform installations and repairs efficiently.
• Conduct thorough inspections of existing systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored solutions for their low voltage requirements.
• Troubleshoot issues related to cabling, electrical connections, and network configurations.
• Document all work performed, including system configurations and changes made during service calls.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role is required.
• Familiarity with telecommunication systems, CCTV installation, access control, surveillance equipment, and IDS technologies.
• Proficient in cabling techniques and electrical principles related to low voltage applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
• Relevant certifications in low voltage technology or related fields are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
