Finance Manager
Non-Profit company is looking for a Finance Manager.
Operate Abila (G/L program)
Daily review bank accounts and maintain positive pay communications with bank
Gather, prepare and review deposits
Identify and address errors, missing transactions.
Close each month in a timely manner
Complete Bank Reconciliations
Supervise allocations of grant funds to specific activities.
Do ?spread? process; a series of entries that move expenses from their initial entry position to appropriate companies, as well as codes according to formula or allocating various payments.
Balance company entries, complete distribution formula for sharing company funds.
Review entries and close all items for the month.
Maintain relationships among affiliated entities, interagency transfers, and income and expense assignments among programs.
Work with program supervisors to accurately maintain, review and present program financial activities including grant reporting and budget tracking.
Work with staff on document filing processes, document tracking, and paper/hard copy filing needed.
Work with annual external audit process and periodic grant audits.
Supervise and train staff for G/L entries and prepare deposits for all four companies.
Coordinate staff hiring with Deputy CEO as needed within budget.
Skills/Abilities
Ability to learn to manage SAGE MIP, AppFolio and Downhome financial systems
Familiarity with current Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP)
Knowledge of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
Knowledge of depreciation and amortization schedules and tracking.
Clear written and verbal communication skills in English. Spanish skills preferred.
Familiar with Microsoft Office, document sharing and internet security protocols.
Able to organize work for self and others.
Able to provide setting for secure home office with internet connectivity; free from distractions, available for virtual video and audio conferencing (currently Zoom), document sharing.
Driver?s license and access to reliable vehicles to visit multiple company sites and other business-related locations.
Essential to be able to physically enter a variety of locations and to deliver documents as needed.
Preferred Education and/or Experience: Preferred experience in financial position. Accountancy degree - Bachelor?s Degree
