We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team and support our HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations.
Job Summary:
The HR Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR department, assisting with various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have roles and a strong understanding of HR best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing onboarding materials, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Support the HR team in implementing HR policies and procedures and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Assists in payroll.
- Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
- Assist with organizing and coordinating HR events and training sessions.
- Prepare HR reports and presentations as needed.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the HR Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in business is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR functions.
- Payroll experience preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Paychex Flex Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, One Drive), and Adobe.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and personal accountability; Must have the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
