What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Chef position at Burningtree Country Club?
We are seeking a Head Chef responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operation, including menu planning, food preparation, staff management, quality control, inventory management, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards, essentially leading the kitchen team to produce high-quality dishes consistently while maintaining operational efficiency. Our clubhouse is over 24,000 square feet and offers all the amenities that a beautiful and elegant club should offer.
Key responsibilities of a Head Chef:
Menu Development:
Create and update menus based on seasonal ingredients, market trends, and restaurant concept, developing new recipes and plating techniques.
Staff Management:
Hire, train, and supervise kitchen staff, including line cooks, sous chefs, and prep cooks, delegating tasks and resolving any issues within the team.
Quality Control:
Ensure all dishes meet quality standards regarding taste, presentation, and consistency.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage food inventory, placing orders with suppliers to maintain stock levels while minimizing waste.
Cost Control:
Analyze food costs and implement strategies to optimize profitability.
Kitchen Operations:
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and cleaning procedures.
Health and Safety:
Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with other departments like front-of-house staff and management to ensure smooth service.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
