The ideal candidate will have experience in rail and public transit projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, specifications, and contract requirements. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the quality and integrity of construction projects from inception to completion.

We are seeking a Construction Inspector to join our team to support our client in Newark, NJ. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes.
- Monitor work progress and report on quality, safety, and project timelines.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address issues and implement solutions.
- Review and approve material submittals and shop drawings.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, observations, and communications.
- Prepare inspection reports and documentation for project stakeholders.
- Participate in safety meetings and promote a culture of safety on job sites.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in construction inspection, with a focus on rail and public transit projects.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and construction practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
