The Community Relations Coordinator supports the work of the Burns & McDonnell Foundation. The role will create and support exciting educational and philanthropic programs, and nurture young people into thinking big for the communities we serve.
- Assists in the Corporate Citizenship Committee monthly meetings to provide administrative support.
- Assist with campaigns and community involvement and document questions about the benefits of our programs.
- Assist with reviewing and evaluating internal and external requests for philanthropic support, as aligned with the Foundation’s strategic objectives, and per corporate guidelines.
- Support strategic opportunities to foster internal/external partnerships that support the Foundation’s objectives and priorities, prioritizing opportunities for shared impact.
- Coordinate team member engagement opportunities, actively seeking opportunities that leverage team members’ interests, skills, and Burns & McDonnell know-how.
- Assist in driving team member engagement with grant-giving and volunteerism offerings and features, with a vigilant commitment to continuous improvement in program processes and systems.
- Support administration of volunteer and grant-giving programs.
- Assist in coordination with key stakeholder functions across the Burns & McDonnell enterprise, e.g. HR, Corporate Marketing, and Corporate Communications.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related degree required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop experience highly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
