Job Summary:
Burns & McDonnell is a dynamic organization seeking a skilled Electrical Installation Specialist to join our Construction Services team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aid in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical wiring, conduit, equipment, and fixtures.
- Work with licensed electricians to ensure safe and efficient electrical systems.
- Assist in the cutting, bending, and running of conduit as specified on blueprints.
- Participate in the installation, modification, and fabrication of cable tray according to specifications.
- Contribute to the assembly and installation of electrical equipment.
- Inspect electrical equipment and components to identify hazards and ensure good operational condition.
- Support the setup and maintenance of temporary power systems.
- Install and maintain grounding systems for all equipment and structures.
- Hoist equipment and tools into a location via bull rigging or cranes.
Requirements:
- 1-12 months of experience as an Electrical Helper/Apprentice.
- Hold an Electrical Apprentice License.
- Meet all physical requirements.
- Work at heights exceeding 200 feet.
- Follow instructions correctly.
- Adhere to instructed safety regulations.
Working Conditions:
- Long periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and/or lifting.
- Pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50lbs.
- Work at heights, climb ladders, and stairways, and occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding.
- Work in all weather conditions.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
