Burnt Church Distillery LLC (the “Company”) is a craft distillery with a tasting room that serves craft cocktails, tastings, beer, wine, and small plate food items.
Summary of Position:
Reporting to the F&B General Manager, the Food Runner delivers food from the kitchen to the customer in the restaurant. They ensure that each customer receives the correct order and answer customer inquiries.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer questions regarding the menu.
- Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers.
- Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction; return incorrect orders or improperly cooked orders to the kitchen.
- Collect plates and clear the table as customers finish their meals; set up tables before service with the appropriate tableware.
- Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
- Report any behaviors and/or actions that go against anything set forth in this agreement to a manager.
- Report any customers who may be too intoxicated for service.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not currently have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment and Requirements:
This job entails frequent exposure to smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity and extreme cold. There is also frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products and produce items.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and stand. The employee is frequently required to reach, bend, stoop, shake, stir, pour, carry, push, and lift objects up to 50 pounds. There is substantial repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a part-time position, with a schedule that can vary weekly.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- One year of prior restaurant work experience.
