What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wellness/PE Teacher position at Burr and Burton Academy?
Burr and Burton Academy seeks a full-time teacher who has the skills and knowledge to teach Wellness and Physical Education classes, beginning August 2025. Candidates must be familiar with VT State Standards/SHAPE America Standards, Social Emotional Competencies, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and be dedicated to providing engaging and vigorous instruction.
The ability to cultivate a student-centered classroom, collaborate with colleagues, commit to professional growth, and promote a healthy lifestyle is essential. Candidates should possess a degree in Health and/or Physical Education. Experience with low ropes courses or adventure activities is a plus.
