Position Overview:
As a Birth Assistant with RN credentials, you will provide critical support during labor, delivery, and postpartum care in a fast-paced, growing setting. You will collaborate closely with midwives and other healthcare professionals, but we also expect you to take initiative, work independently, and handle responsibilities with confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist midwives during labor and delivery, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and supporting clients physically and emotionally.
- Work independently to provide clinical care and manage tasks such as patient assessments, documentation, and newborn evaluations.
- Foster a calm, supportive environment for clients by offering physical and emotional assistance during labor and birth.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including labor progress, assessments, and interventions.
- Assist with postpartum care, offering guidance on newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain an organized, safe, and fully equipped birth center.
- Embrace ongoing learning, taking direction from experienced staff while also demonstrating a proactive approach to your work.

Qualifications:
- Active RN license.
- Previous experience in labor and delivery is preferred but not required—new grads are encouraged to apply!
- Strong ability to work independently while taking direction when needed.
- Passion for midwifery-led, patient-centered care.
- Excellent clinical skills, including vital sign monitoring, assisting with procedures, and providing hands-on support.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to relate to and support families during their birth journey.
