Location: Columbia, MO
Department: Rapid Access Unit
Employment Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Sunday - Tuesday 7 am - 7 pm, or Wednesday - Friday 7 am - 7 pm.
Shift: Days and Overnights

The Behavioral Crisis Center is a 24/7 "rapid-access" mental health and substance-use clinic, serving as an alternative to hospital Emergency Departments for individuals experiencing psychiatric or substance-use related crises. Your nursing skills and compassionate approach will be instrumental in assessing, documenting, and monitoring the medical needs of clients, ensuring their safety and well-being during these challenging times.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct standard nursing duties, including temperature and blood pressure checks
- Interview clients and families to gather comprehensive medical and medication histories
- Provide thorough documentation and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
- Monitor Medication Administration Records (MARs) and Physician Orders (POs)
- Serve as a reliable resource for nursing and medical matters during crisis situations
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
- Crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques (preferred)
