Burritt on the Mountain is seeking a part-time Special Events Assistant with enthusiastic customer service skills and a desire to work in the hospitality industry.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
· Providing hospitality and service duties during Burritt events
· Event preparation, errands, purchasing items, set-up and clean-up. These responsibilities include setting tables with cloths and décor, basic food preparation, handling money from cash bars, selling and stocking alcohol and laundry
· Interaction with museum sponsors, donors and volunteers
Job requirements:
· Applicants must be 21 years of age or older
· High school diploma or GED
· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
· Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
· Ability to speak English fluently and communicate well
· Ability to lift 30-40 pounds
· Ability to work 4-6 nights per month
· Flexible work schedule including mornings and weekends
· Proficiency in organization and multi-tasking
· Position requires a background check
Ideal Candidates will also have the following qualifications:
· Prior experience in the hospitality industry
· Knowledge of Word, Publisher, or equivalent programs
· Patience and adaptability to unexpected circumstances
Position Details:
· 12-15 hours per week
· Requires weekday, nights, and some holiday hours
· Pay is $12.50 per hour
