Automation Business Development Manager
Burrow Global is seeking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager for our Automation and Digital Division. Burrow Global Automation is a vendor-neutral Automation Systems Integrator that manages and supports all aspects of automation projects from concept through to operation, focusing on energy, specialty chemicals, data centers, and sustainable energy markets. Working closely with our clients, we enable their processes to operate, striving for the utmost safety and efficiency - all the while providing a fun, challenging, and balanced team environment for great people.
The position is based in our Houston Post Oak or Deer Park TX office with regular domestic travel to customer sites and offices as required.
Reporting to our Business Development and Marketing leadership, this individual will play a pivotal role in driving growth for our company in the fields of Automation and related Engineering/EPC.
Responsibilities:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, networking via industry events and cold calling as appropriate.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
• Drive the sales cycle from prospecting to closure, meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams to forward the value propositions and differentiators ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
• Utilize Salesforce to manage leads, track progress, and optimize the sales process.
Key Skills:
• Organized self-starter with a proactive and strategic approach to sales.
• Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients.
• Advanced understanding of Automation and Systems Integration services solutions and required Engineering support. Rudimentary understanding of EPC, Engineering, Seconded Plant Operations, I&E Construction, and Buildings & Architecture business segments and related offerings.
• Proven ability to grow accounts with existing client relationships in the automation and systems integration area for the focus industries, including the ability to cross-sell.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in Salesforce, O365 and other relevant sales tools.
Qualifications:
• Legally authorized to work in the United States, without sponsorship
• Experience as a Business Development Manager in automation and systems integration services. Minimum of 5-years relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or marketing required.
