Position Summary: The Returns Assistant is a high-volume target driven role responsible for supporting the Returns Supervisor on the day-to-day operations of the Returns Department. The Returns Assistant needs to ensure they are working at speed whilst delivering an accurate service to our valued customers. The Returns Assistant will have the responsibility for the safe and efficient return of stock from customers. Together with the entire team, you will maintain thorough control of operational processes and co- ordinate the accurate flow of product. This is a customer facing role with your decisions having a direct impact on the customer experience and on customer retention.

Essential Functions:

-Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
- Able to take basic product information and translate it concisely using multiple communication channels (verbal, email, web, chat, etc.) and/or recognize complex requests that need forwarding to appropriate technical personnel, so information resonates well with non-technical audiences.

- Be a liaison between internal teams and external customers.
- Ensure all returns are received, checked, and processed to the highest quality standards.
- Ensure data is logged accurately and promptly on returns activity, while providing feedback to relevant departments.
- Ensure Returns Area in warehouse is a professional, clean, and tidy environment.
- Escalate issues to Returns Supervisor.
- Flexibility to adapt to a changing environment and changes in procedures.
- Have a strong understanding of customer service, be passionate and take ownership and care of all stock returns within the required timeframe to ensure that the items are returned within the highest standard for product care.
- Makes communications personalized, convenient, and proactive to support internal/external customer satisfaction.
- Responds in an appropriate manner. Collaborates well.
- Meet or exceed customers’ needs and expectations by providing excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
- Work with suppliers to ensure credits are issued and refunds are provided to customers.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or higher.
- Good oral and written skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills.

Culture & Environment:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must lift and/or move up to 35lbs unaided.
- This position is not remote, Hours are 8:30am to 5pm Est.
- Travel is not required.
- Typical professional office environment; as well as exposure to manufacturing conditions.
- Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copies, printers, etc.
- Must contribute to a positive working environment; must be a team player.
