Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Shopify Developer to design, develop, and optimize our e-commerce platforms. This role involves building and maintaining Shopify-based websites, implementing advanced features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless and efficient e-commerce solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Shopify, a passion for innovation, and a proven track record of delivering scalable, high-performance e-commerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Shopify Development: Design, develop, and manage Shopify e-commerce websites to align with brand objectives and revenue goals. Create custom Shopify themes and modify pre-existing templates. Build scalable, efficient, and user-friendly solutions to optimize the online shopping experience. Shopify is also used for online store creation, product management, sales & checkout, order/ shipping, and Marketing & SEO.
• Optimization & Troubleshooting: Monitor website performance and ensure optimal speed, scalability, and functionality. Debug and resolve issues related to e-commerce platforms, including plugins and APIs. Implement SEO principles and ensure adherence to e-commerce best practices.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure technical feasibility of designs. Lead technical discussions and mentor junior developers. Conduct code reviews and maintain comprehensive software documentation.
• Emerging Trends: Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies, Shopify apps, and industry trends. Proactively recommend innovative solutions to enhance platform performance and user experience.
  
  

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Shopify development (or similar experience with Magento- Adobe Commerce)
• Expertise in Shopify's templating language (Liquid), JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Familiarity with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms like LESS and SASS.
• Hands-on experience with version control tools, preferably Git.
• Skills: Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and experience managing complex projects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with Shopify Plus.
• Knowledge of Ruby on Rails.
• Familiarity with e-commerce SEO practices.
